This dish is best eaten with warm rice or dipped with bread =) |
1) 2 tablespoons of blended garlic and ginger (mixed together)
2) 1 cup of chilli paste
3) 1/2 cup of sugar (more if you don't want it to be too spicy)
4) 4 tablespoon of tamarind paste that is mixed with water
5) 2 cups of mixed vege
6) cubed potatoes (fried and out aside)
7) 7-8 pcs of chicken wings (marinated with some salt and turmeric powder, fry them for a while and put aside)
8) 2 eggs (beat them and put aside)
9) salt to taste
10) ketchup and chilli sauce
11) 1/2 cup of water
Here's how to make it!:
- Heat about 5 tablespoons of oil in the wok
- fry the blended garlic and ginger
- add in the chilli paste and cover (mix it around, let it fry for abut 15 mins till the colour turns darker)
- add the sugar and some salt to taste
- add the tamarind juice and mix it around
- add a cup of ketchup and some chilli sauce (try to taste it and see whether you are satisfied with the taste, if not add whatever ingredients that you feel is insufficient - be it sugar, salt or ketchup)
- add some water if the gravy is too thick
- once you are satisfied with the gravy, add the mixed vege, fried potatoes and fried chicken)
- once all the ingredients have been mixed, lastly add the beaten eggs in gravy and mixed them around...
VOILA~!! YOUR CHAPALANG CHICKEN IS READY! ;)
